In this beginner's class in taxidermy, students will learn the taxidermy process of mounting an ethically sourced mouse. Each student will receive their own mouse take home with them at the end of the lesson. Class includes the lesson, a pre-skinned specimen and all supplies. Students will be able to pose the arms and legs of their mouse to their liking and modify its pose. For those interested in anthropomorphizing their taxidermy: students are encouraged to bring their own miniature props to decorate their piece. Class cost is $150. The class will be held on Saturday, September 22 from 10 am to 1 pm. Seating is limited.
Please note: No prior taxidermy experience is required. No harsh or dangerous chemicals will be used. No specimens are killed for the sake of taxidermy. All mice are feeder animals one would purchase already deceased and frozen to feed a pet snake or reptile.
