Opening Reception: ékō of Flesh and Bones

ékō of Flesh and Bones is an art exhibition of work by three female artists living and working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Each artist works on a variety of media, crossing disciplines, media, and concepts.

The spelling of ékō is the phonetic pronunciation of echo. To read the word is to pronounce its existence and allowing the word to reverberate into the world. The action takes with it the imprint of the speaker. Ékō is consistent across the spectrum of creativity and can exist through movement, occurrences, flesh memories, and the journey of life. Ékō of flesh and bone is the reverb of our creative journey through life and some of its challenges, making a visual array of our individual stories.

Reception: Friday, September 14, 2018; 7-9 p.m.

On view August 28 - September 21, 2018
