Inspired by Women that Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola, SANADORA, meaning “healer”, is a series of female-centric pieces that showcases the healing roles that women play in society. Each female character is a curandera – a healer that must make pilgrimages and traverse labyrinths in order to break free of her confines and seek her own truth, inner beauty, and goodness apart from what is prescribed by society. Through the portrayal of women in search of their own inner beauty, SANADORA aims to encourage both men and women to challenge societal norms and search for subjective beauty in their own everyday lives.
