Summer at the Simmons

Trinity Park Conservancy

Summer at Simmons is a Trinity Park Conservancy event series in July and August giving Dallas residents additional opportunities to discover and explore the natural treasures of the Trinity River. Summer at Simmons seeks to encourage Dallas residents to experience the Trinity River to gain knowledge of what currently exists and to imagine new possibilities for the River in advance of design workshops for Harold Simmons Park in the fall of 2018.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 10th and running through August 30th, 2018, regularly scheduled activities - guided hikes, group bike rides, and canoe lessons/floats along the Trinity River - will be held in the future, Harold Simmons Park. Additional one-time events will be added to the schedule to create a variety of experiences.

These activities will be led by various expert guides on subjects important to the River as it is now and as we reimagine what it could be. All activities will be free to the public. “The Conservancy wants to encourage Dallas citizens to enjoy and learn more about the Trinity River, and Summer at Simmons is the perfect time for our city’s residents to experience all the Trinity River has to offer.” - Brent Brown, President and CEO of the Trinity Park Conservancy.
