Molly Dierks' Somewhere There Is An Island looks at how commercialism, industry, and advancing technologies have changed the ecology of interconnectedness- including human love and intimacy. Sensuous and alien, the drawings and sculptures ask how technology both creates distance and elicits serendipitous connections from that which is borrowed, used, discarded or found to create new material lovers.
