THE HAMSA HAND class with Megan Wilhite (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm)
The Hamsa is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolizing the Hand of God. In all faiths it is a protective sign. It is said to bring its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune. In this class we will learn how to paint this ancient symbol on an approximately 2 inch round stone and have the opportunity to decorate and jewel the stone before it is finished with a modge podge solution to secure the jewels. We will also have the opportunity to discuss further the meaning, legends, and history of the symbol.
