The Best of the Worst: Songs from Broadway Flops Part II

Sammons Center for the Arts

Shelley Kenneavy and James McQuillen in "The Best of the Worst: Songs from Broadway Flops"

The vivacious Shelley Kenneavy presents another endearing show of songs from Broadway productions that didn’t win the hearts of audiences or critics, much less long runs or Tony Awards. Much like her renditions of “So Long Dude” and “Shopping Around” in previous Sammons appearances, Shelley gives these seldom-heard songs new life, however, thanks to her inimitable delivery. This is a do-not-miss show by the former KERA/KXT announcer and producer who is now charming radio listeners in Atlanta, Georgia.

Sammons Cabaret is held at the Sammons Center for the Arts, 3630 Harry Hines at Oak Lawn. Tickets are $45 per person and include beverages, light appetizers, and valet parking. Refreshments are served beginning at 7:00 p.m. concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. Each concert features two performance sets of about 40 minutes each with an intermission between. Dress is generally business casual, but some wear cocktail attire.
