Irving's Independence Day Celebration


Heritage Park - Irving

The City of Irving holds an annual two-part celebration of America’s independence each year. Thousands of attendees enjoy the wide variety of activities throughout the day, including an award-winning parade, community reception, and evening festival with a fireworks display.

July 4, 2018
9 a.m. to noon
Irving Heritage District
Independence Day Parade
The celebration begins with Irving's community parade, which features over 80 entries from community organizations, businesses, and families, including floats, costumes, and custom vehicles.

Community Reception
Immediately following the parade, head to Heritage Park to enjoy complimentary watermelon with your neighbors! Relax under a tree while listening to live music. Free children's activities include airbrush tattoos and balloons. The reception runs until noon.

Independence Day Fireworks Show:

July 4, 2018
6 to 10 p.m.
Lake Carolyn
Scenic Lake Carolyn is the site for the evening festivities. Located at the intersection of E. Las Colinas Blvd. and Lake Carolyn Pkwy., the Fireworks Show offers a fantastic way to finish your Independence Day. Entry is free!
