In 2017, more than 5,000 people turned out to celebrate Frida Kahlo's 110th birthday at the Dallas Museum of Art. It was an attempt to make history with the largest gathering of people dressed as Frida Kahlo in one space. Over 1,000 individuals dressed as Frida Kahlo gathered on the Museum's Ross Avenue Plaza and were able to take part in the official Guinness World Records attempt. Although Guinness has not yet confirmed, 20 black and white portraits, made that day, will be on display at the Granville Arts Center this August.
The Granville Arts Center – Gallery Space is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and during performances.
