In collaboration with Arttitude, Inc., the Latino Cultural Center will present the exhibition MariconX showcasing the work of LGBTQIA Latinx aritsts in the greater Dallas region. MariconX is an art concept that creates a safe space for local LGBTQIA Latinx artists to share their art and encourage dialogue in regards to issues that are affecting their communities. For the show, maricon is defined not as an offensive term but as a unifying term and challenges misinformation, making the ignored and stereotyped visible.
