The professional company of Contemporary Ballet Dallas (CBD) will be premiering as Ballet Dallas, May 17-18, 2018. The School will continue as CBD, while the professional company now operates as Ballet Dallas. We officially launch as Ballet Dallas to close the 2017-2018 season!
Ballet Dallas' Spring Concert features FOUR World Premieres by highly talented Guest Choreographers
- Kevin Jenkins, of Boston Ballet School, is premiering a new work Fortissimo and re-staging a moving duet, Falling Light. He was in Dallas April 16-26 for a two week residency setting his new work.
- Hailey Von Schlehenried has been an inspiration in our studios this past month, setting a piece set to the music of Ezio Bosso, Violin Concerto No.1 called Subconcious Motion
- Carter Alexander is premiering Deux Poémes, accompanied by live music and opera. This is Carter’s second commission with the company. Live accompaniment provided by Martin Morgan on Piano and vocals by Hilary Werthmann.
- Local choreographers Emily Bernet & Taylor Rodman of the Bombshell Dance Projectpremiere a modern work, Backbite, choreographed in their signature style!
