Honoring the dark moon involves exploring parts of the self often kept locked away. It means transforming latent energy into something beautiful. This is the most powerful time to effect change and make art. Dark Moon Poetry & Arts exists to honor the creative feminine and non-binary powers of North Texas. We showcase poetry, music, visual art, and projects that can’t be defined by a single noun. We upset still air.

As a celebration of Earth Day, this month’s showcase will be in the lower level of the Bath House Cultural Center. Artists will share work that recognizes the spirit of nature, explores their relationship to the environment and how it shaped their ancestors, and challenges systems of oppression that create environments hazardous to the physical/mental/spiritual wellness of marginalized people.

Experience Dark Moon as it was envisioned: surrounded by nature, with the moon shining out across White Rock Lake <3
