Cimarron Park

Chill Out With Winter Fun

Winters in Texas bring all types of weather.  This year, bring the family to Cimarron Park for a taste of the fun side of winter!  Snow returns to Irving for the 2nd annual Frost Fest, a free winter festival offering an opportunity to indulge in several fun activities.  Enjoy complimentary attractions, such as:

  • Petting zoo with reindeer display
  • Snow tubing hill (42" and taller)
  • Snow play area, with fresh snow every 30 minutes
  • Giant inflatable maze and toboggan tunnel slide
  • Skating on the festival rink (ice skates provided)
  • Train rides
  • Ice sculpture demonstrations by Chef Pete
  • Winter family photos, provided by the Valley Ranch Association
  • Meet & greet with popular KERA Kids character Nature Cat

Inside Cimarron Park Recreation Center the Irving Public Library will provide library card sign-ups, various winter crafts, and a variety of story readings and puppet shows. Check back for a detailed schedule of show times. Food will be available for purchase; parking and admission are free.  

Event parking is located at Ranchview High School (8401 E. Valley Ranch Parkway, Irving).  Complimentary shuttles provide transportation to Cimarron Park throughout the event; an ADA accessible shuttle is available.  Pets are not allowed on event shuttles; service dogs are permitted.
