CLIFF HOUSE STUDIO & GALLERY HOSTING 35th ANNUAL HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE ON DECEMBER 2, 2017 -Original ceramic and glass art pieces from Fort Worth’s favorite artist-duo – Pamela Summers and Raymond Rains – will be on sale; Live demos and studio tours will be conducted
Fort Worth’s favorite artist-duo, Pamela Summers and Raymond Rains, are hosting their 35th annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. at Cliff House Studio & Gallery, located at 8092 Eagle Mountain Drive in Fort Worth. The event is free to attend and open-to-the-public.
What started 35 years ago as a backyard Raku party has now become one of Fort Worth's long-standing art events. Cliff House Studio’s Holiday Open House now includes an exhibition of contemporary clay and glass art, a holiday sale of original art pieces, studio open house and tour, glass blowing demonstrations by Raymond Rains, and Raku pottery firing demonstrations by Pamela Summers.
Summers’ contemporary ceramics, including wheel-thrown and hand-sculpted vessels and tiles, will be showcased and available for sale, as will Rains’ blown and fused art glass. In addition, Summers’ sister -- Sharon Summers McClung -- will be on-hand displaying her holiday collection of handcrafted jewelry.
“We love that our Holiday Open House has become an annual holiday tradition for hundreds of art lovers in Fort Worth,” said Pamela Summers, ceramic artist and owner/founder of Cliff House Studio & Gallery. “Guests this year will be able to tour our glass and clay studios and galleries, purchase original ceramic, glass and jewelry pieces, and see red-hot pots being pulled from Raku kilns and glass art pieces taking shape from flaming hot glass furnaces. It will be a jolly good time.”
Cliff House Studio & Gallery is perched on a bluff adjacent to Pamela and Raymond’s home near Eagle Mountain Lake, providing a unique view of pastoral scenes and downtown Fort Worth from a distance.
