Open the Holiday Season with the perfect touch of joy in a mug during Denton Main Street Association’s (DMSA) Wassail Weekend.
What is Wassail? It is just a fussy old English word for hot cider. The Denton Downtown merchants stir up their favorite Wassail recipe and serve it to tasters on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. The traditional Wassail Weekend tasting coincides with the annual Denton Holiday Lighting Festival on Friday, Dec. 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The tastings continue the following day, Saturday, December 2, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tasting is free and open to all and tasters can cast a vote for their favorite Wassail. Voting and instructions will be available online on the DMSA website and Facebook page.
