New Play Festival: Off Your Feet by Ashley Brooke Monroe

Saturday, October 28, 2 PM | Sunday, October 29, 7 PM

For the first time, the people who call the street home are the storytellers in the new documentary theater piece, Off Your Feet. Built from the author's personal interviews with the members of society most often overlooked--the play shifts between humor and the bleak reality of being homeless. Off Your Feet is an illuminating exploration of humanity when we face the mercy of the elements and the kindness or cruelty of strangers.

ABOUT THE NEW PLAY FESTIVAL Each year, we invite some of the finest contemporary playwrights to develop their work in our home. These residencies give writers the opportunity to make their scripts production-ready with the help of actors and a director. Members of Amphibian’s season witness the transformation from first read-through to final performance and influence the work through their feedback. We are proud to have nurtured so many plays that have gone on to be produced around the country.
