The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a unique work of international arts activism that reflects the worldwide scope and personal impact of the AIDS pandemic. It simultaneously functions as a living memorial, a form of political activism, and an intimate tribute to lives lost, and the largest collaborative artwork in the world. Devastatingly, 49,000 panels currently compose the quilt representing more than 94,000 names. Selected panels will be on rotational view at the Arts Center along with interactive AIDS Quilt Touch kiosk thanks to support from UT Dallas with The NAMES Project Foundation
