Sips of Science: Three Minute Thesis Road Show

Plano Kitchen & Bar (formerly Angela's at the Crosswalk)

Missed the Three Minute Thesis competition on campus? That’s okay, we’re taking it downtown. Downtown Plano, that is.

Interested to know how PTSD sufferers may be helped with vagus nerve treatments? Or what new materials are being used for better dental implants? Maybe you’re more interested in how targeting RNA may result in a new plan for curing cancer? This event is designed for you to understand what the 2017 UTD 3MT® finalists are doing, how they are doing it, and what they plan to do next.

About 3MT®: The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition celebrates the exciting research conducted by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students. Students have three minutes to present their research in an entertaining format easily understood by an audience with no background in the research area.

About Sips of Science: Sips of Science is a community outreach program organized by the University of Texas at Dallas. Our purpose is to inform and educate while having a bit of fun. Sips of Science events are free and open to the public and usually occur on the second Tuesday of each month at Angela’s at the Crosswalk. For more information, contact [email protected].
