Preservation is the Art of the City

Each September Historic Fort Worth, Inc. produces a month-long multi-faceted event called Preservation is the Art of the City at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, 1300 Gendy Street. In its 15th year, the art show and sale is comprised of works by almost 60 local artists who paint in a variety of mediums. From 2003-2016 a total of 699 artists have participated, with many returning multiple times. Collectively, these artists have exhibited 3,958 works of art. During the month thousands of people visit the show between September 7 and September 23.
