Southeast Texas artist Mark Nesmith exhibits his vibrant and expressive depictions of the landscape and wildlife in Wild World at the Mesquite Arts Center this July. Inspired by the bayous, beaches, and woods he roamed growing up in Beaumont, TX, Nesmith's richly textured paintings combine observation, memory, and imagination. Nesmith taught art, music, and special education in the Dallas ISD for more than a decade before returning to his hometown in 2012. Wild World opens with an artist reception Sunday, July 2nd, from 5 - 7 pm and will be on view through July 28th.
