Deb Olin Unferth in conversation with Ben Fountain

The Wild Detectives

Join author Deb Olin Unferth for a reading from her latest collection of stories, "Wait Till You See Me Dance," followed by a conversation with Ben Fountain.

The stories in "Wait Till You See Me Dance" make you laugh on the outside and cry a little on the inside. The stories are zany and imaginative, but also bite sharply with dark humor and physical and psychological violence. "Wait Till You See Me Dance" has earned praise from George Saunders, Sam Lipsyte, and Ben Marcus, among others.

Ben Fountain is the author of "Brief Encounters with Che Guevara" and "Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk" (recently adapted into a major motion picture, directed by Ang Lee). He has received the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Barnes & Noble Discover Award for Fiction and a Whiting Writers’ Award, among other honors and awards. He and his family live in Dallas.
