SMILE, SMILE AGAIN, written and directed by Justin Locklear is an engrossing parable about the fullness of life. In the aftermath of World War One, a soldier is stuck in the mud, unable to escape the pitfalls of trench warfare. A madman, who finds the soldier, believes he has discovered a mythical soldier-plant, growing from the ground and requiring the care of a gardener. The ensuing poetic struggle features entrancing language, original music, and a bizarre, surreal landscape. Wed-Sat, April 29 through May 20, 2017.
