In 1944 American Composer, Aaron Copland completed one of his beloved works, The Appalachian Springs. Odysseus Chamber Orchestra will present this work in its original form the Ballet. Set with a story depicting the American Pioneers of the 19th century, the orchestra will be joined by Amiti Perry, choreographer. Together with Maestro Jason Lim this collaboration creates a post modern rendition of the classic.
The first half of this concert promises, a pairing of beloved chamber music works with original choreography by Miss Perry. Works by Britten (Night Music), Ravel (2nd Movement from String Quartet), Bach (Cello Suite no. 1), Piazzolla (Oblivion) and Karmanov (Michael Music) will be featured.
