Artist Erin Cora Turner Exhibits Sculptural Adornment Inspired By The Artisanry Of Pennsylvania Industrial Production
Artist Erin Cora Turner will exhibit a series of sculptural jewelry pieces and related objects in CON•STRUCT at the University of North Texas, Cora Stafford Gallery located at 1110 W. Oak St, Denton TX 76201. The exhibition will be available for viewing from Wednesday, February 17th to Saturday, February 20th. The gallery hours are from 1 – 5 p.m. with the opening reception to be held Thursday, February 18th from 5-7 p.m.
Turner fabricates wearable sculptures by adorning the body with feminine imagery executed in masculine materials. “My family’s history in Pennsylvania is the source of my inspiration. The area in which I grew up was an industrial manufacturing center focused on steel, coal and lace. These materials permeate my work as a tether to my birthplace and my family who worked in these industries,” says the artist.
