Mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade performs “A Life In Song,” a compilation of autobiographical pieces personally chosen by the opera legend. Featured are art songs (works composed for a single voice with piano accompaniment) by composers including Aaron Copland, Maurice Ravel, Ned Rorem, Virgil Thomson and Jake Heggie, who will also appear on stage. Heggie, the composer of Great Scott and Moby-Dick, has had a long-standing artistic collaboration with Miss von Stade.
