Tuzer Ballet Presents Its 31st Annual Nutcracker Ballet

Eisemann Center

Make The Nutcracker Ballet An Unforgettable Part of Your Holiday Tradition.

Tuzer Ballet’s beloved Nutcracker ballet returns for its 31st production this December, delighting viewers of all ages. A renowned holiday tradition, audiences will rediscover the magic of Tchaikovsky’s musical scores and Hoffmans’s classic tale of Marie, her Nutcracker Prince and the malevolent Queen Rat.

The Nutcracker ballet’s artistic directors Patricia and Tanju Tuzer, formerly of Harkness and Hamburg Ballet, continue to reign as a dynamic and influential force recognized for their ongoing achievements and artistry in the world of dance. The Tuzers recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Richardson Arts Alliance, and the “Mary Bywater’s Lifetime Achievement Award” presented by the North Texas Dance Council.

This season’s ballet features two guest principal dancers: Rie Ichikawa, a soloist with the Boston Ballet will perform the parts of the Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy; and Zack Grubbs, a Tuzer Ballet 1997 alumnus and soloist with the Cincinnati Ballet, will perform as the Snow King and Cavalier.
