Ida y Vuelta /Flamenco Fever

As the First Official Fundraiser for their Landmark Trip to Spain. Ida Y Vuelta Flamenco presents a brand new cast of artists performing for the first time in Dallas. In an evening of authentic live flamenco Julia Alcantara will lead a cast of 3 musicians and six dancers in an intimate evening of flamenco at its finest. The cast includes life-long dancers Jhon “El Nino” from Caracas. Venezuela and Andrea Prieto from Sevilla, Spain. In a series of music number solos and group dances, the team promises an evening of exciting footwork, mesmerizing music and dazzling costuming. The well equipped venue promises that none of the intensity or talent will be lost. Every drop of sweat and the fascinating communication between musicians and dancers will be illustrated the way only LIVE flamenco can. Do not miss this unique night of flamenco puro! The proceeds from this show will help raise money for Flamenco Fever’s coveted invitation to produce an entire concert in the Seminario de Flamenco in Malaga, Spain this Summer. The Chance of a Life Time: Director, Julia Alcantara has worked for more than 30 years cultivating the cultural landscape of Texas & has given selflessly to the city of Dallas.  Her efforts as an artist & business woman have earned her a momentous opportunity to cross the Atlantic and present her first international production in the the birthplace of flamenco.

BREAKING NEWS: Flamenco Fever has received a coveted invitation to produce a show in Spain this Summer!  The Seminario de Flamenca Malaga, is a international flamenco festival presenting some of the Spain’s greatest artists.   More than 20 students and professional artists will make the trip to participate in this historic event!!!
They will be the first American flamenco company to present in Malaga, Spain and plan to present Alcantara's greatest work to date, "Memorias Flamencas", a flamenco jazz fusion show that was more than 5 years in the making.  The show stars flamenco Flute & Sax Legend: Jorge Pardo

The Father of Flamenco Jazz,  is most famous for touring for over 20 years with famed guitarist, Paco de Lucia. and many of Flamenco and Jazz's biggest names including, Camaron de La Isla, Chick Corea, Chano Dominguez, and more. He was voted the greatest living Jazz artist by the French Academy of Jazz, received Spain's National Prize for Current Music, and has multiple awards for his solo work. 2 of his 20 CD's were Album of the year in "MIRA" for Jazz & "DJINN" Flamenco. He headlined the Oak Cliff Flamenco Festival in 2022, the debut of "Memorias" asThe Grand Finale at the Majestic Theater. The first dance show ever choreographed to his music in his more than 40 year career.
