Artist Reception: Liquid Therapy

Join us for the Artist Reception on April 1, 2023, for “Liquid Therapy” where we unleash watercolor amidst fun and hilarity!

Artists include Carol Williams, Susan Kennedy, Krista Castillo, Jacque Weinberg, Paula Koob, Reid McNabb, Diane McNabb, Mercia English, Debra Worrell Hernandez, Marianna Bravo Hunt, and Lynda DeGrow Kingsley.

The exhibition is on display from April 1st to April 29th during business hours, Tuesday through Saturday 10 am to 5 pm.

Lynda Kingsley started this class seven years ago after graduating with a watercolor degree from UNT and building her studio. She teaches traditional watercolor techniques and yet, pairs watercolor with other media in new and innovative ways. We use watercolor in batik, in collages, with inks, pastels, and crayons, and using the sun to create solar paintings and cyanotypes! We have made 3-D books, 3-D flowers, even painting watercolor on fabric to make pillows!

The class meets 46 weeks out of the year, on Wednesdays where we paint, create, have fun, laugh, and share potluck lunches! Several students have become professional artists after taking this class, and more will follow!
