Big Thought & Fossil Group Present 2023 Works of Heart Event & Auction

Fossil Headquarters

Big Thought, an impact education nonprofit and Fossil Group are hosting Works of Heart on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 6 - 10pm at Fossil’s company headquarters in Richardson, Texas. The organizations have co-hosted this fundraiser benefiting Big Thought since 2011. Dreamed up by a Fossil employee who was on a mission to use their creativity as a force for good in the world, this spark of an idea quickly turned into an incredible employee art auction that's become a flagship event. The auction features artwork from Fossil Group teammates and youth participating in Big Thought programs including paintings, photography, sculptures and mixed media pieces, which will be auctioned in person at the event and online bids are also being accepted. All artwork purchased online will need to be picked-up in person at Fossil in Richardson or Big Thought’s headquarters in Dallas.

Big Thought is an impact nonprofit that closes the opportunity gap by equipping all youth in marginalized communities with the skills and tools they need to imagine and create their best lives and a better world. The organization is focused on driving long-term outcomes and its programs reach approximately 125,000 youths in the Dallas-Fort Worth region annually.

Fossil Group is an accessories company with a portfolio of world-class brands creating watches, wearables powered by Google, one-of-a-kind handbags, jewelry and small leather goods. The Fossil Foundation focuses on supporting partners that put young people in charge of their own future so that they can create change for themselves, their families and communities.

The Works of Heart fundraiser in 2022 raised more than $16,000 for Big Thought’s Creative Solutions program – an arts-as-workforce intervention program for adjudicated youth. This year funds raised at the event will go to support Big Thought’s Generation Liberation program which focuses on supporting youth and their families with tools and knowledge to gain financial empowerment. The goal is to raise $10,000 so that Generation Liberation can support more youths with pathways to education and income opportunities.

Tickets are $30 online or $35 at the door and includes parking, food catered by Café Momentum and beverages.
