The GDYO will present its annual Young Virtuosi concert featuring concertos performed by the winners of the GDYO Concerto Competition, the winner of the GDYO conducting competition, and special guest narrator Kim Noltemy, President & CEO of the Dallas Symphony.
Works performed will include: Dance of the Comedians - Bedřich Smetana Conducted by the winner of the GDYO conducting competition Oboe Concerto in C Major, 1st mvmt – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Joseph Jung, oboeKarelia Suite – Jean Sibelius Viola Concerto, 1st mvmt – Béla Bartók Ian Chen, violaFratres for Strings and Percussion – Arvo Pärt Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra – Benjamin Britten Kim Noltemy, narrator.
