The Big Blue Marble

The Dallas Winds a five-time Grammy Award nominee, presents BIG BLUE MARBLE in collaboration with EarthX on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 pm in the Meyerson Symphony Center.

It's a multi-sensory concert experience with Artistic Director & Conductor Jerry Junkin, and the Dallas Winds featuring dramatic stage lighting, spectacular video, and original animations with surround sound. Dallas Winds' Composer-in-Residence John Gibson will be on hand to share his inspiration for writing Mountain Hymns. Hollywood composer Julie Giroux joins the band for the Dallas Premiere of her Symphony No. 6 - Big Blue Marble. It's is a loving celebration of Planet Earth accompanied by original film inspired by Julie's music. The Epoch Percussion Quartet returns to perform Orbital a joyous new work by New Zealand composer John Psathas that's guaranteed to have you dancing in the aisles!
