Cedars Union Cohort 4 Application Now Open

The Cedars Union

The Cedars Union is excited to announce the opening of applications for our 4th Cohort program and the formation of our new jury. This incubator program provides studio space, support, networking, with educational and legal resources, to artists working in a variety of media within North Texas.

The application for our 4th Cohort program will run from January 2nd to March 15th and is open to emerging and established artists looking to develop their skills, build their careers, and connect with other artists in the community. The program will be juried by a panel of respected professionals in the arts community, including Daisha Board of Daisha Board Gallery, Dallas painter and muralist Cohort-alumni Hatziel Flores, internationally-renowned artist Joshua Goode, art advisor and the founder of Collector House Jennifer Klos, and Vivian Li, the Dallas Museum of Art's Lupe Murchison Curator of Contemporary Art.

The Cedars Union is committed to supporting the growth and development of artists in the Dallas area, and our incubator program is a key part of this mission. Our program provides studio space, professional development opportunities, and exhibition opportunities to help artists succeed in their careers. Past members of our Cohorts, including Jeremy Biggers, Riley Holloway, Desiree Vaniecia, and Kristin Moore, have gone on to achieve great success in the art world and we are proud to have played a role in their development. "The cohort program was instrumental to my growth as an emerging artist and gave me a community in Dallas," said Kristin Moore, a member of Cohort 2 who is currently represented by Jonathan Ferrara Gallery and recently showed in Art Miami.

Applications for the 4th Cohort program will be open from January 2nd to March 15th. Interested artists can visit our website to learn more and submit their application. In addition, The Cedars Union's artist-led Programs Committee will also be hosting a Meet the CU Happy Hour on February 4th from 4pm-7pm for interested applicants. This is a great opportunity to meet current members of the Cedars Union, learn more about the incubator program, and ask any questions you may have about the application process. Light refreshments will be provided.

Don't miss this opportunity to join a vibrant community of artists and take your art to the next level. We look forward to seeing your application and meeting you at the Meet the CU Happy Hour!

The Cedars Union also offers a Community Membership at $80/month with most of the same benefits of the Studio Artists without a personal studio space. These applications are not juried and can be submitted year-round.
