Denton Holiday Lighting Festival

Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum

Let's kick off the holiday season as a community and light the night in Downtown Denton! Together we'll sing and countdown for the flip of the switch as the Courthouse Lawn, tree and surrounding City scene light up in a splendid fashion. Then enjoy a night of parks, play and free entertainment from some of Denton's finest musicians and artists.

The Denton Community Band will kick off the night at 5:30 pm followed by the official tree lighting with Santa and local dignitaries at 6:00 pm on the Main Stage.
Between three stages you can enjoy performances until 9:00 pm including from the David Pierce Orchestra, Denton's Dynamic Duo and The Festival Ballet of North Central Texas. Plus several performances from our educational institutions including the Denton High Jazz Band, Ryan Strutters and the TWU Pioneer Pride Dance Team.

The fun doesn't stop there! Walk down to Williams Square for a Winter Wonderland complete with horse carriage rides, snow hill sledding and trackless train for wristband holders ($10 for all night pass). Plus, free bounce houses, arts and crafts, strolling Grinch and much, much more.

Finally, the night would not be complete without visiting Santa on the Square. Stop by for a chat and selfie at no cost or with a wristband get one printed photo.

All access wristbands may be purchased for $10 in advance.
