Women of Candor is the funny, fabulous, and freeing experience that is fulfilling! Through the performance art of storytelling, the Women of Candor cast brings the real Real—real laughs, real cheers. Grab your bestie, your colleague, your momma, your sis. Settle in for stories told from the theme of “I Understood the Assignment!”

Life seems to always toss out assignments, from school, work, and even the Divine. Sometimes, we get it right and other times we miss it. Our storytellers are ready to share their first-person adventures. Storytelling has elements of standup comedy with some moments of improv and brings lots of depth. We invite you to experience this one-night-only show!

More about Women of Candor
Sydney Plant, founder and producer, birthed Women of Candor out of a desire to amplify the authentic and affirming voices of Black women. She wanted to curate a space free from judgment and misinterpretation. Sydney, who was trained by master storyteller Kevin Allison, gives credit and honor to the Black women whose voices paved a path for her. Through Women of Candor, Sydney continues to lay out steps for the next generation of storytellers.
