The Smart Project – Student Visual Art Workshop

South Dallas Cultural Center

The Smart Project – Student Visual Art Workshop | Sept. 17 – Nov. 19 | Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | South Dallas Cultural Center
Through their creative curriculum, The Smart Project strives to teach creative skills and character traits that will equip students with developmental skills that are beneficial for future careers in arts and technology.

Students will be exposed to enrichment activities and academic learning. The teaching Artists will observe and access strategies to retain student engagement during developmental projects. Students will be regularly urged to participate and reflect during creative exploratory learning.
The program will run for a total of 10 weeks and consist of two 5-week sessions:

  • Sept. 17 - Oct. 15: The first five-week session will focus on Manga and be centered around Character Expression.
  • Oct. 22 - Nov. 19: The second five-week session will focus on Glazes and be centered around Painted Objects.

Each week of the program is intended to build off the prior week. For your student to get the most out of the program, they’ll need to come to all of our sessions, if possible. If your student is able to make it to the majority of the sessions, please sign up through the Student Registration page.
We look forward to your child’s participation! If you have any questions about the enrollment process or class content, please email [email protected].
