Color in its simplest form attributes to the physicality of one’s identity and traits. This often defines who we are on the surface and gives us narratives to share with the world. Through these stories, artists are encouraged to share their perspectives on what “Hue” means and what it evokes introspectively. This exhibition intends for the artists to explore self, community and culture as we celebrate humanity through the magnificent lens of color.
Featured artists are Alexandra Buxbaum, Alijah Thomas, Josh Stein, Kameron Walker, Karen K Wallen, Kate Stipp, LaShonda Cooks, Matthew Glover, Njabulo Magudulela, Patricia White, and Zachary Webb.
“Hue” opens on August 19th and is on view through September 17th.
The opening reception will be on August 27th from 2:00-5:00 PM.
