A Place For You And Me

Moncrief Cancer Institute's Summer 2022 exhibition features work from TCU MFA artists Lauren Walker and Enrique Nevarez. In A Place For You & Me, both artist esteem their interior spaces as a refuge, a place for personal growth and identity to flourish: both for themselves and those whom they choose to share it with. Lauren and Enrique share a love of materiality in their work and navigate this through the use of painting, ceramic, glitter, resin, and other craft materials. These artist strive to use their practice as aa tool to be able to preserve moments of intimacy that happen within private spaces.
