BikeDFW is pairing Bikes & Brews for a joint event with Lakewood Brewing Company. Offering three routes, the event will start at the Dallas Farmers Market at 10 a.m. for the full ride, at White Rock Lake at 11:00 a.m. for a half ride, or at the destination, a vendor fair at Lakewood Brewing at 12:30 p.m. for no ride. The first 20 riders to arrive at the North Dallas family-owned brewery will get two free beers from the array of Lakewood craft favorites that will be on-tap, including Rock Ryder, being re-released for the occasion.
The vendor fair will feature DFW’s best for all things outdoors highlighting the newest trends for local biking crews. BikeDFW is a nonprofit organization that supports and promotes the safe use of bicycles as an affordable, viable, and sustainable means of active transportation and personal enjoyment. This includes showing how favorite DFW destinations, like Lakewood Brewing, are just a bike ride away.
Lakewood’s Rock Ryder is a wheat beer for the masses that features a cyclist on its can. Light and refreshing, it has just enough bite and flavor to quench a Texas summer-sized thirst.
Drawing beer lovers from around the country, Lakewood will debut its first-ever kitchen this summer along with updates throughout, including the new “Lakewood Loft,” a speakeasy-inspired private event space with a unique view to Lakewood’s massive brewing tanks below. Those not able to make it out for the Bikes & Brews Rock Ryder release at the brewery can find other Lakewood beers, including Temptress, the number-one selling craft milk stout in Texas, on their local shelves using Lakewood’s “Find Our Beer” tool online.
