The Texas Institute for Orchestral Studies (TXIOS) is a three-week summer intensive study and advanced practicum in symphony-orchestra performance, applied performance practice, preparation, rehearsal and related study for University and High School orchestra musicians. June 6 - 24, 2022, Fort Worth, Texas.
TXIOS rehearsals and performances will be conducted by Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Music Director Laureate, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Mesquite Symphony Orchestra Music Director Felix Torres and other superb conductors including German Gutierrez, Director of Orchestral Studies at Texas Christian University.
TXIOS will occur at the I.M. Terrell Performing Arts Center on the campus of the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and the Visual and Performing Arts, 1900 I.M. Terrell Way, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.
Texas Institute for Orchestral Studies (TXIOS) and The Conducting Institute are education initiatives of Caminos del Inka, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Acceptance as an Institute Fellow is by application and virtual audition. Applications will be accepted beginning February 1, 2022.
