8th Annual Harlem Renaissance Extravaganza and Festival

Join us and step back in time as we celebrate the sights and sounds of the Harlem Renaissance Era. Hosted by Verb Kulture and featuring Shelley Carrol, of the Duke Ellington Orchestra along with his 16-Piece Jazz Orchestra. Pop-up Performances throughout the evening from various artists in the DFW performing hits from the Harlem Renaissance Era.

That’s right! We will time warp to the time of the Big Bands, Swing Dance, the music of The Duke, Cab Calloway, and when jazz was at its peak. And for ONE NIGHT ONLY we will deliver a recreation of Harlem’s famous Cotton Club and the Savoy of the 1930s, at the historic Carrollton Arts Center. Swing Dancers, come get your Lindy Hop, Charleston, and jitterbug on and keep the dance floor on fire! Cash bar, appetizers, Live Auction featuring three fabulous travel destinations and a Golden Ticket Raffle!

Attire: Wear the ERA! Cocktail/Formal Attire 20s, 30s and 40s.
