The Mockingbird Poetry Society (a Chapter of the Poetry Society of Texas), the Art Club, the Art House, and the McKinney Art Community have a big event on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. in the Carriage House of the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts at 205 Hunt Street in downtown McKinney, Texas.

From the 37 pandemic related poems submitted by the poets of the Mockingbird Poetry Society in McKinney, the artists highlighted the poems they chose for visualizations. In addition to their visual creations, the poems will be open to the public.

The Heard-Craig Center of the Arts is hosting the combined art (drawing canvas, special art paper, etc.) and poetry exhibit, and food drive. The event is being held as a fundraiser for the Community Food Pantry. The event is free, but any type of canned good donated for admission will be greatly appreciated. Free event tickets can be secured at http://www.heardcraig.org/events, 972-569-6909.
