Join DCP and Colorado astrophotographer Jim Pollock for a truly different kind of photography class! We’re going to gather online and stream a live astrophotography session while we talk about the camera, telescope, and setup that makes it all possible.
On December 1, we’ll have some great targets to look at live. We’ll live image the Great Orion Nebula, one of the most spectacular deep sky objects in the heavens! We’ll also image a pair of distant galaxies 12 million light years away and stream our neighbor galaxy, the amazing Andromeda Galaxy that appears 6 times bigger than the full moon, but hidden from human eyes until we turn the telescope and internet on it. And, as a bonus, there’s a good chance we’ll get a look at a faint comet that will be approaching earth in December.
All live! You’ll see the pixels as they arrive from the telescope in the instructor’s back yard.
