Music Entrepreneurship Class - Virtual Event

Wondering how it’s possible to actually make a living as a professional musician in this constantly changing world? In this class, cellist and entrepreneur Mandy Guilfoyle (Executive Director of Cypress Chamber Orchestra and Founder and Director of Texas Music Institute) will guide students through the forest of the music world. Students will learn how to find opportunities, the basics of networking and self-marketing, all about business structures, the non-profit world, how to start your own business or organization, and so much more. Through videos, class discussions, lectures, guest speakers, and real-world useful activities, students will have everything they need to begin successful music careers. We will give you everything you need to be successful and happy as a new professional musician.
At the end of this class, students will have created their own professional website and social media accounts that they can immediately start using to build their professional music careers, as well as a real-world usable basic business plan to start their very own arts organization or business.

This course is open for all ages but is most suited for high school students or older.
When: Tuesdays from 6 - 7 p.m. Classes will begin Tuesday, September 7th, and occur weekly through Tuesday, December 14th, with two weeks off for Fall Break and Thanksgiving Break (13 weeks.)

Tuition: Registration fee: $25 for new students, waived for current TMI students.Tuition: $30/class, billed monthly via My Music Staff ($390 total for the entire course.)
-Tuition is due on the first of each month for that month's classes.-If you prefer to pay the entire semester upfront, that is an option as well! Just let us know.
