Corsicana Artist & Residency's event series AFTER HOURS presents an author talk with writer David Searcy. Searcy will read excerpts from his latest book, The Tiny Bee That Hovers at the Center of the World (Random House) at STOREFRONT, the residency's bookshop and programming space where we engage audiences through events, workshops, happy hour and conversation. Signed copies will be available for purchase. Searcy, the acclaimed essayist and author of Shame and Wonder, offers an ethereal meditation on longing, loss and time in a present that is rapidly fading. The event is free but space is limited, registration is required.
“Everywhere, David Searcy finds the strange and marvelous in careful examination of the quotidian.”—NPR
