Join the Denton Parks & Rec for a day full day of Independence Day fun. July 3rd, 9 a.m. to noon.
First, there's the Yankee Doodle Parade. Deck out in red, white and blue for this patriotic occasion or watch from your lawn chair on the Denton Square as the parade rolls out starting at 9 a.m.
When the Yankee Doodle Parade ends, come over to the Civic Center and have fun at the July Jubilee!
This FREE event will be in the Civic Center and Quakertown Park. We'll have live music, inflatables, carnival games, and lots of fun.
We'll have food trucks out as well. So far we have Elm Fork Coffee, Kona Ice, Frios Popsicles, Sparta Taco, and Red's Yard. Come hungry, bring some money, and support local!
Oh, and don't forget the Hot dog Eating Competition at 11:30! Register in advance or show up with the will to scarf down 20 hotdogs faster than your opponents.
Furthermore, we're holding a FREE vaccine clinic from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in partnership with the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM). No pre-registration is required and vaccines will be administered to the first 100 individuals that are at least 12 years of age and meet the criteria to receive the vaccine. The second dose appointment will be July 24
