Terrell’s Fourth of July fireworks show is moving to the Terrell Municipal Airport this year! And, festivities will be bigger than ever with the Free and the Brave Blowout, hosted by the No 1 British Flying Training School Museum. Come early – the fun starts around 5 near the museum at the north end of the airport.

New this year is a balloon glow. You can take a tethered balloon ride ($20 cash on site, weather permitting) from 7:15 till 9:15. If you’ve ever wanted to be the Red Baron, the BFTS Museum is offering rides in the 1942 open cockpit Stearman biplane all weekend long for a $150 donation to the museum (call 972- 551-1122 for reservations, payment in advance).
