In the spring semester of 2021, DCP collaborated with the Dance and Media class of Booker T. Washington High School of Performing and Visual Arts. Over the course of a 4-week workshop, students experimented with capturing movement, color, shape, texture, and details of dance.
Photography and Dance is the culmination of this workshop. Dance students stepped out of their comfort space to create stunning images not of what dance looks like to other people but what dance feels like to them.
The in-person reception to celebrate these students’ works is Friday, July 16 from 5pm-8pm. This reception is free and open to all! We strongly encourage you to RSVP for a specific time slot as we will be limiting the number of people in the gallery at one time. Please view our COVID policies and procedures here.
