DESmodernidad is a three-part series of outdoor live music, film, performance art, and dance that embraces our current chaos as a moment to dismantle outdated systems; binaries, supremacy, and high consumption. The curated selection of artists embraces experimentation and joy as modes of creation. Refreshments are provided and audiences are limited to thirty at most events. Our second performance of this series, “LIBERTAD”, takes place on Friday, May 28 from 8-10 p.m. at Artstillery, 723 Fort Worth Ave, Dallas, TX 75208. All our events are outdoor and following CDC protocols with limited capacity.
“LIBERTAD” will feature Bharatanatyam dancer Krithika Shankarasubramanian and the music of HONIN, a fresh
take on alternative-pop. Vegan food will be provided from Recipe Oak Cliff, a venture of the Susu Cultural Business
Incubator dedicated to addressing food security issues and supporting health food entrepreneurs in South Oak Cliff,
Texas.
