The New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving concludes its special “Connections” season with a concert 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at the Irving Arts Center. The program features smaller ensembles from the orchestra.
Dr. Sergio Espinosa, conductor and music director, has chosen “Suite for Strings” by John Rutter, “Petite Symphonie” for nine winds by Charles Gounod, “Commemorative Fanfare” for brass and timpani by John Cheetham, and “Suite for Solo Trumpet” for brass and percussion by Charles Mandernach. Larry Spencer is trumpet soloist.
Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults and seniors, and $5 for students. To attend, make reservations at the IAC box office (972-252-ARTS).
