Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with Oak Cliff Cultural Center and artist Stephen Zhang!
In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of Sumi Ink painting while creating their own masterpiece.
Sumi-e means black ink painting. It originated in China and was introduced to Japan in the 14th century. In Japan, Sumi-e paintings were often paired with poetry. Sumi-e is monochromatic, utilizing black ink on white paper and a brush.
This is an in-person workshop designed for those ages 10 and up.
